COUNTRY ROAD'S ALMIGHTY BRUCE A.K.A ODIN with his special buddy MAXWELL

Dear Jenn & Dan

Chris & I , Peter, Maxwell Hunter & Aaron would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for picking out for our family the PERFECT Dogue. Almighty Bruce...A.K.A Odin is the most perfect, loveable, gentle member of our family. There are no other words than PERFECT for Odin. I also gained something else....a friend in you!

From the first time that I spoke to you on the phone I knew right away that I wanted to have one of your Dogues. You were so helpful and answered all of my questions you are awesome! I had so many concerns about weather to get a female or a male, because we have 4 boys of our own, the youngest being 4 and the eldest 13. I will never forget what you said, "my females are great, but I love my boys". That was it for me we wanted a male. When I found out that we had to come to meet you before you would even consider giving us a dog, I thought to myself, now that is a lady who LOVES her dogs. As you know I asked if you could at least hold us in line before meeting us, I know that you laughed and were like..."NO I am sorry I don't do that". Now when we get together we have a good laugh about it. So it came to our first meeting February 5th/07 I had no idea what to expect, however it was amazing!!!! You made Chris and I feel sooooo welcome it was unbelievable. You welcomed us into your home with open arms and made us feel at home from the second that we walked onto your property. You introduced us to all of your BEAUTIFUL Dougues and I wanted to take Ike & S'more home that day...LOL. Your kennel is so organized, clean and so well run, it is hard to believe that you have 11 Dougs running around the property. You are so helpful with teaching me about the bread and about showing Odin. I want to thank you for telling me what shows to go to. You have welcomed us into your home many times for classes on showing and talked on the phone countless hours and endless MSN...LOL. In all the times that I have called you or MSN you I have never once felt like I was bugging you. It is always "yes sure of course call me, come over" with you. You have the biggest heart and I am proud to call you my friend.

Now here comes the part that you have gone above and beyond for me. As you know that in August of/07 my 7 year old son Maxwell was diagnosed at stage 3 with Lymphoma. When you found out about Max you were devastated, there was nothing going to stand in your way of Maxwell getting a puppy. When you told us that we were definitely getting a pup from the Lilly litter we were so excited and the smile on Maxwell's face was priceless. You even sent a letter from Odin to Max at The Hospital for Sick Children with pictures of him to cheer him up. That day, there are no words to explain how happy I was. There was not a day that went by that you did not send me a e-mail asking how Max was, for that you are amazing. Also to the couple that gave up getting one of Lilly's pups so Maxwell could have one, I am eternally grateful to you.

The day that we picked up Odin was great. We are traveling a far way so we came the night before. I remember you calling my cell saying "UM where are you, why are you at the hotel and not at my house? get your butt over here!" We then came over on the Tuesday night and stayed laughed talked and had so much fun, we did not want to leave but we had to. In the morning we came back for coffee ( not your famous coffee...LOL) to pick up our little boy. As we were leaving I will never forget Max's words to you. "Thank you for our puppy and have a nice day" I saw the tears in your eyes. It was amazing.

We are all looking forward to see how Odin will do in the ring, and I am sure that he is going to do amazing! I think you know that we may need to have another to keep Odin company. So when that time comes you know I will be coming to you for the next member of our already massive family.

Thank you Jenn & Dan

SHERYL  LONG WITH COUNTRY ROAD'S FILOSOPHER STONE AKA BACI

COUNTRY ROAD'S MARGAUX also owned by Sheryl and Brad Long

Dear Jenn,
I can’t believe it’s been two years since we first met !  As you know Brad and I had done years of research to find the perfect breed to complement our crazy household - four small children, two goats, a pony and a cat !   Meeting you was like a breath of  fresh air !  Your amazing attitude, willingness to talk and commitment to the breed  spoke to us - you had the mentality we were looking for and  you  made it your mission to place us with the  right dogue.  The cleanliness and extreme order of your household was more than impressive .  Your Alpha persona - well noted by the way in which your dogues looked to you for direction,  was  amazing to witness.  As you know we instantly fell in love with your canine clan.  Temperament, structure and intelligence  reflected exactly what we were looking for.  Your extreme diligence in  outlining the lineage's of your future breeding , what you were hoping to achieve  through the  breeding  and your continuous reference to the ‘standard’ , brought a new level of understanding to us both.  Although the waiting period  for Margaux was  torturous,  I do  thank you for taking all of my phone calls  and answering  the multitude of questions  I threw at you daily ! ....... even though I became known as “the dog stalker”  lol !  I have to commend you for so many things -  the self renovated  “dogue barn”, the brilliance of your home-made whelping box, your diligence with socializing the pups, the tremendous amount of love and kisses for those babies, the countless nights awake for feeding times and  all the extra cuddles. Thank you for being  available at all times to handle even the smallest of concerns.  When  the time was right for dogue number two , there was no doubt in our minds from whom we would purchase.  Many more thanks are due for our beautiful Baci - he’s a lover !  Thank you for introducing us to the show world and taking the time to explain  proper show protocol.  Your willingness at shows to  speak with hundreds of people in a professional and courteous manner is testament to your passion for the breed.  Thank you for choosing two  beautiful douges  for us.  The  joy  they have brought to our lives is immeasurable.

Warmest Regards,
Sheryl and Brad Long

Ang and  Ed  McInerney with COUNTRY ROAD'S PINOT NOIR AKA BOSKO

Jen and Dan Fell

I am writing this letter to let Jen and Dan know about the service that we have received from them upon first finding them to getting our dog to bringing him home.  They have always been there for us with answers to any questions we had or still have.  We had a problem with our vet here and Jen talked to her vet and we had our dog there instantly.  I find them very helpful with anything we have called them for.

From the first visit we found them to be very friendly and warm.  The dogs were unbelievable.  All of who we had seen were friendly and loveable.   The way those dogs were treated made us want one all the more .  The temperament of  the dogs or one of Jen’s dogs made us think that this is the dog we want.  For all the dogs she had her house was immaculate, with having all the dogs in the house I couldn’t believe that it was that way.  Every time we stopped by with friends or family they greeted us with the best hospitality.  They said anytime you want to visit or just stop by to see your puppy we were welcome.

She did tell us that she picks the puppy for you so that it will match with the other pets in the house and with the people that are getting them. I thought that was a great idea as u wouldn’t want a dog with high energy going with someone who wouldn’t be able to handle the dog.  So my husband and I agreed.  To be honest she couldn’t have picked a better dog for us.  He has fit in with the other  dogs we have and they are all the best of friends.

If we had the room I would love many more Bordeaux's but I will have to wait, but I can tell you that when we are ready for another dog we will not hesitate to call Jen and say ok we are ready for another one.

 Sincerely Ang and  Ed  McInerney

Pauline Da Silva with Country Road's Ocean's Pearl AKA ADRIAN

Dear Jenn and Dan:

I cannot believe it has almost been a year since Adrian came into our lives, it started as a wedding gift to my husband and little did I know the day that I brought Adrian home, I would fall in love all over again.

It was my husbands dream to own a Dogue de Bordeaux, I remember catching him several late nights researching breeders for the Dogue de Bordeaux but it was not until he came across a dog named Nemo that he said to me without a doubt, “this is where I am going for my first Dogue de Bordeaux”.  I have to admit; I laughed at him and said to myself, I would never have such a big dog in my house.

Before I knew it he had made an appointment with Country Road’s Kennel to go and see your Dogues, I went along for the ride no thinking much of it.  As soon as we stepped foot on your property I knew right away you lived for your Dogues, I thought to myself what a clean, well put together operation, and then we met you, so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had no matter how naïve they were.  You brought out each of your Dogues one by one and allowed us to get to know each one and its history, although it may have sounded like another language to us at the time you took the time to explain all the standards, characteristic and anything we would ever need to know about the breed.

Your Dogues were all so loving, friendly and well behaved, I left there knowing more about the breed and knowing in my heart and mind that the Dogue de Bordeaux was exactly what I wanted in my house.

And then came Adrian, what a testament to your awesome breeding lines, she is beautiful, loving and everything I could ever ask for or want in a Dogue.  You were so patient with Bill and I, through all the visits and all the questions, you never made us feel as if we were annoying you at all, it was quite the opposite, you wanted to be a part of her life and it is such a comforting feeling knowing that you will always be there for Bill, Adrian and myself.

Thank you for taking time to show an amateur the dog show world and what is expected in the ring.  We are so proud of Adrian’s accomplishments in the show ring and it would not be possible without you.

We can never thank you enough for your dedication to such an awesome breed, your professionalism with clients and undying love for the Dogue de Bordeaux.  Without a question in our minds it will be Country Road’s Kennel that will be the breeder of our next Dogue.

 With many thanks.

 Pauline and Billy Da Silva
